Moov over Uggs!!!! These amazing boots that are flying out of our store,  are called MoovBoots! They are rubber on the outside, like a rain boot, and sheepskin filled inside, like Uggs. With the amazing prints they have put on these boots they have managed to make them practical yet fashionable. I personally own two pairs. I use them for walking my dog in the rain/snow, going to work, and going out for dinner.  MoovBoots look sleek, clean and fashionable but with all the perks of a good winter boot. For those of you who haven’t seen Claudia’s pieces in our store before, we just got our new fall/holiday order, and let me tell you, her line is hotter then ever!! I myself have never been huge on accessories. Rings at the most and maybe a watch. Lately i have realized how important accessories are to an outfit. I fell in love with Claudia’s necklaces last week when we were opening up all the new goodies! These are no ordinary pieces…. they are bold and romantic at the same time. Paired with a simple white or grey shirt they can make the outfit. While in NYC this past week i wore a lot of simple outfits and wore Claudia necklaces. More then one at a time.  I got a million compliments on them! While in the big Apple I walked over to Henry Bendels and it appears they are not selling clothes anymore. Just accessories!  All 3 floors were swimming in costume jewellery. Accessorizing for an outfit is just as important as the outfit itself, Bendels has shown us that!  Now that i have fallen in love with Claudia’s line i am wearing accessories everyday. Coco Chanel once said accessorize your outfit and right before you leave the house take one item off. I say this season, put on your outfit and right before you leave the house, add one more accessory before you go!

I think the name of this line is fairly self explanatory but it doesn’t do the pieces justice until you see them in person. For all those vintage lovers out their, this line was made for you!!!  The designers of this brand search the world for the most amazing vintage clothes and replicate them using all the same  fabrics making the pieces look 100% as if they were truly vintage. The twist they have on them, is the fit. Most vintage shoppers like myself, find it hard to find a top or dress that fits. you usually have to take it in, or its just too big, or simply too small. Beyond Vintage has the most perfect fit to all their clothes and their line is truly beautiful. It reminds me of a mix between What Comes Around Goes Around and Haute Hippie. This Line is huge right now in LA and NYC, and Canopy Blue is the first to bring it to Toronto!!!

The name of this particular brand says it all. “Haute”- being the first part of Haute Couture, makes you think high end beautiful pieces. The Second part, “Hippie”- makes you think hippie chick. With Every piece having some type of embellishment on it, its hard not to walk straight up to it in a store. While They make everything from over-sized  speckled sequin sweaters, to beautiful cape beaded dresses, you always know its Haute Hippie by the sparkle that appears somewhere on the garment. HH graced us with its presence last week, and hasn’t stayed long; in fact we are almost completely sold out. But fear not, as we have ordered breathtaking pieces for holiday, that will be arriving in mid October! I’ll be sure to blog as soon as they come in, as i am completely obsessed with this line. Haute Hippie is amazing and when you put it on its as though you have made looking fabulous….. effortless.

The Classic Motorcycle jacket, famous for its “biker rebellious look” is back with a vengeance and this time a little less hard looking. Many designers this season have a classic leather jacket in their fall line up. With less hardware and a more fitted sexy cut, the motorcycle jacket is back and better then ever! Back in the 90’s people paired the jacket with hard accessorises and matching biker boots…this time around it can be worn with the most feminine of outfits. For example, a floral scarf, a soft coloured cardigan, or my personal favourite an embellished sequined tank!  At the store we have a navy cropped Line leather jacket, and an Ever black motorcycle bomber. Both are to die for!!!  The best part about this jacket is you can wear it everyday and constantly be making it look different.  I know the motorcycle jacket is next on my list to get this season!

 As we approach the fall season, I cant help but to be excited for the one accessory that really shines during this particular time of year. Scarves! Scarves are to a woman what a necktie is to a man. They can be worn so many ways. How you wrap them around yourself is I believe a reflection of  your personality.  My favourite style right now is a black leather jacket, and a feminine style scarf. At the store, we have a Virginia Johnson cream scarf with soft baby pink roses on it. I Imagine that wrapped around your neck and perfectly tucked into your leather bomber jacket. They also can add a splash of colour to an otherwise neutral wardrobe. Canopy Blue is carrying Virginia Johnosn as well as Sir Alister Rai . Both scarves are the perfect balance between not too chunky and not too thin. These scarves are a MUST and the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe.
